Mexico reported on Wednesday that the United States communicated its decision not to renew the North American free trade agreement, the USMCA, for 16 years; it will now remain in effect for 10 years with annual reviews.
"The United States is not in a position to extend it for 16 years," said Secretary of Economy Marcelo Ebrard in a social media message after meeting with the American and Canadian negotiators.
