"Unfortunately, there are ten people who are currently missing and a minor has been found dead," said Ávila, who assured that authorities are continuing search efforts.
The governor indicated that the greatest damage caused by the meteorological phenomenon is concentrated in Ensenada, where efforts to evaluate damage, clear roads, and restore services continue.
To address the emergency, authorities have deployed more than 14,000 personnel across the state, and the installation of collection centers in government offices will begin this Monday.
Ávila noted that the State Emergency Committee remains in continuous session and that operations are being carried out in coordination with the Armed Forces, Civil Protection, and municipal governments.
The damage from Rachel is being recorded while the Mexican Pacific also faces the passage of Hurricane Simon, which remains a Category 3 on Monday and has left at least one person dead in Guerrero, in the south of the country.
Authorities are maintaining emergency operations in different regions of the country due to the damage caused by both meteorological phenomena. EFE
