Carín León canceled his concert at The Sphere in Las Vegas at the last minute, leaving thousands of fans surprised and upset as most were already at the venue. The anger of his fans grew when the famous singer rescheduled the performance for September 15, 2027. Many attendees complained on social media about the lack of planning by the regional Mexican singer. "We traveled days in advance," they emphasized.

Carín León's performance in Las Vegas was scheduled for the night of Thursday, September 10, 2026, and was part of the Sonoran singer's residency at the famous Nevada stage.

According to attendees, they were informed that the show was canceled just minutes before it was supposed to start, a situation that triggered the fury of his fans, as many had already bought drinks and food.

After suspending the concert, Carín León explained on his Instagram account the reason why he could not travel from Hermosillo to Las Vegas; in a written message, he informed:

"Due to an unexpected setback during my trip, and always putting everyone's safety first, we unfortunately have to reschedule tonight's show at the Sphere. Your tickets will be valid for the new date, September 15, 2027. And if you truly cannot join us, you can request your refund at the point of purchase within the next 30 days."

He added: "I know all the effort, the excitement, and the desire many of you had to be here tonight, and I offer my sincere apologies for the inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your patience, for understanding, and for all the affection you always show me. See you very soon, my people."

Following the message, the artist received hundreds of criticisms, so hours later he uploaded a video in which he gave details of what happened and, once again, apologized.

In said clip, the singer explained that the first flight was scheduled for approximately between 2:00 and 3:00 PM, but before takeoff, they detected a brake failure. Faced with the problem, his team looked for another aircraft. The second plane arrived hours later, but it also presented a failure, this time related to the steering system.

Carín explained that, ultimately, the pilots and the authorities did not authorize the flight for safety reasons.

"With my heart in my hand, I offer you a big, big apology and reiterate our love," he indicated in his video.

Why didn't Carín León travel to Las Vegas sooner?

This was one of the questions asked by thousands of fans, as they felt that Carín León could have left the place where he was early to avoid any setback and fulfill his work commitment.

"Dude!!! You have to be in f*cking Vegas a day before," "Backstreet Boys never did that to us," "If I arrived 2 days early just to see you, it's not fair that you want to arrive 5 minutes before," "There is no justification, a good artist arrives much earlier," and "Refund the money and compensate for the expenses; many stayed in hotels, asked for days off work, the expenses to get to the venue... more professionalism," were some of the reactions from his followers.

According to information released after the cancellation, the artist had returned to Hermosillo to spend a few days with his family before continuing his residency in Las Vegas.

After the criticism, Meylin Zúñiga, Carín León's wife, shared images and explanations regarding the attempts the team made to get the singer to Las Vegas. Zúñiga maintained that there were two flight attempts and defended that safety should be above the execution of the concert.

She also responded to the versions that began to circulate on social media about alleged different reasons for the singer's absence. Meylin apologized for the cancellation of the concert but asked the fans to understand that they were not going to put themselves at risk as a family when experts pointed out that the aircraft were not safe to fly.

"What is the worst part of all this? Leaving you stranded, with the possibility of, God willing, singing together again, or the news that the plane crashed? Would you have cried then instead of chanting insults? I understand the frustration (...) but I wish you would also understand the artist's helplessness of not having been able to arrive," she said.
