Galilea Montijo spoke once again about cosmetic surgery and made her position clear following the complications she faced after a procedure on her face. The 'Hoy' host asserted that she is not against these types of interventions and stated that every person has the right to decide if they want to undergo any treatment to modify or care for their appearance. "I am a very vain woman," she commented while revealing the reason why she undergoes these beauty procedures.
Galilea's statement comes after several months in which her appearance was the subject of comments and speculation on social media. At the time, the presenter shared that a doctor performed an inappropriate treatment on her that ended up affecting the mobility of her face.
In a recent encounter with the media, reported by Ernesto Buitrón News, Montijo assured that despite what she experienced, she supports cosmetic surgery. "I have every right to get my treatments, why not? I am a very vain woman, I love projecting a pretty image. Besides, the public demands it of you," she said.
She added: "I have always told you that I am pro-surgery. If you want to get it done, do it; if you don't want to get it done, don't." That is how the presenter explained that for her, taking care of her image is also part of her job in front of the cameras.
On the other hand, she also revealed that one of her main fears is that her facial expression will change: "I am very afraid that my expression will change, which was one of the problems I had with this doctor, but it has passed and, on the contrary, I was very happy to talk about it on the podcast, because the doctor told me: 'Now that we exposed your case, there are more women like you going through a hard time because of something poorly done, and you don't know the sense of security we gave many women'."
The 'Hoy' program host shared that she does not hide, and that if the situation she went through was noticeable, it is because she did not stop working: "I don't have time to hide. I've been on from Monday to Friday for 18 years in the mornings; it's my job. I would have loved to be able to—not even hide, but just have the time to let the swelling go down, to rest; that is also part of a process when you undergo an aesthetic treatment," she indicated.
