Mariana Seoane and Ana María Alvarado starred in a tense moment live during this Friday, September 18th broadcast of the program Sale el Sol, after the singer recalled a comment the journalist made about her performance alongside Majo Aguilar, with whom she recently released the song titled "Gana la que pierde".
The actress and singer took advantage of her visit to the program to confront Ana María Alvarado directly for having pointed out that she had struggled to reach Majo Aguilar's notes. Seoane stated that the comment had made her feel bad and questioned the host for opining on her vocal ability without having heard her sing live.
"One thing that caught my attention the other day when you presented the video... Ana María, that you said I struggled a lot to reach Majo Aguilar's notes, it felt ugly, I tell you this with a lot of respect," commented Seoane.
Faced with this comment, Alvarado tried to explain that what she meant was that they don't have the same vocal tone, but Seoane asserted:
"You haven't heard me sing live even once, but with a lot of love I invite you, whenever you want, to one of my concerts because it felt ugly. The note was very nice, but there was a bit of 'like Seoane tried really hard to reach Majo Aguilar's notes', ask Majo how I sing."
After these words, the entertainment journalist claimed that she had already heard Seoane sing live at a beauty pageant, although the singer did not believe her and by that moment, Mariana was no longer looking at her. Alvarado insisted that she did not want to question her talent: "I didn't feel it that way, but ok," the celebrity replied.
On social media, netizens were divided; some supported the singer, while others expressed that they agreed with the journalist, pointing out that she did not question her singing skills.
