Why was Jesse Huerta booed in Chile?
During a break to talk with the attendees, the singer was greeted with some boos as well as some applause.
Before speaking, Joy's brother asked his team to turn on the lights and asked the audience to turn their backs to the stage to imagine what the duo's origins had been like.
“Just imagine that this dream started in our living room. With borrowed guitars. Without ever thinking one day we were going to leave the living room. Today we are here in Santiago, Chile, living this dream. Sharing with all of you,” Jesse expressed.
He also thanked the fans for their support and affection, and assured that nothing would erase what they had built together with their public.
“Our dreams were made far away and filled with love up to here, and I want to thank you for all the affection and all the love. And nothing is going to erase what we have built. And our songs will always live in us and in all of you.”
Some users on social media pointed out that the negative response from the public could be related to the singer's announcement to leave the duo due to mental health issues and, subsequently, announcing a new musical project.
What will happen to the upcoming Jesse and Joy concerts?
After announcing his departure from the duo, Jesse clarified on Instagram that he would fulfill all his commitments with Jesse and Joy until December 5.
After the post, Joy Huerta shared a new promotional for the concerts “¿Con quién se queda el reno?”, which will take place on December 6 at the Auditorio Nacional, December 11 at the Arena Monterrey, and December 12 at the Arena Guadalajara.
In this new poster, her brother Jesse no longer appears, as he was replaced by a reindeer.
