What did Sofía Castro say about the controversy over her minishort?
During the presentation of the soap opera Tierra de amor y coraje, where she will have her first leading role, Sofía Castro spoke with the media and asserted that “to each their own” following the controversy generated by her red minishort.
“I find it curious that a pair of shorts goes viral. Honestly, I still love my look very much. I think fashion is meant to be fun. I understand that there are opinions and tastes; I liked it... to each their own,” she expressed.
Sofía Castro also took the opportunity to question people who pit two actresses against each other, as she claimed it is a situation she never sees between two men.
“But in truth, it is ugly how they always pit women against each other, especially because I have never seen a red carpet where they say one male actor looked meanly at another male actor,” she said.
The daughter of Angélica Rivera and José Alberto Castro assured that everything was fine with José Eduardo and Paola, as she loves them very much, and pointed out that it was very dangerous for things to be taken out of context.
To conclude, she affirmed that she knows both of them perfectly well and joked that they were going to treat her to dinner and some tequilas after this misunderstanding.
“The truth is that, not at all, I love Paola very much, I love José Eduardo very much... it is also very dangerous for things to be taken out of context, I mean, not at all, we talked, we laughed ourselves to death over the topic, I know perfectly well that it wasn't like that, I know Paola perfectly, I know José Eduardo too, I just used the excuse to tell them they owe me a dinner and some tequilas for that moment on the red carpet,” she pointed out.

In an interview with the media, José Eduardo Derbez confessed that neither he nor his wife were laughing at Sofía, but that it was about something else. He also pointed out that they both had been spending time with the actress before the media arrived.
