Amid rumors of a possible transfer of Gilberto Mora to European soccer for more than 50 million dollars, Mexican National Team forward Raúl Jiménez recommended a team where he believes the young Xolos de Tijuana player could fit due to his playing style.
During an interview with Claro Sports, Jiménez spoke about the future of the Mexican midfielder and the European leagues where he could excel.
Which European team did Raúl Jiménez recommend to Gilberto Mora?
Raúl Jiménez considered that Borussia Dortmund, in Germany, could be a good destination for Gilberto Mora due to the characteristics of his game.
"In Germany, it could be Borussia Dortmund... It kind of fits his style," he told Claro Sports.
Borussia Dortmund is one of the European clubs that has been linked to the Mexican midfielder and where figures such as Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland have played.
However, Jiménez also noted that Mora could adapt to Spanish soccer, as he considers it a more technical and less physical league, although he did not mention any specific team.
"I don't know about Spain, which is a bit more technical of a league and, then again, not as physical, I think he could adapt well," he commented.
On the other hand, the Mexican forward asserted that Mora has the talent and capacity to play for any European club. However, he pointed out that he could start in smaller leagues, as other players have done before making the leap to major league teams.
Finally, he reiterated that Mora has sufficient quality to go directly to one of the top leagues in Europe.
"He has what it takes to play wherever he wants, but it can also be step by step, little by little. Just as it has happened with many players who come to slightly smaller leagues and then from there take a leap... with his quality and the future he has, I think he could do well if he is in a top league from the very start," he expressed.

What is known about the possible signing of Gilberto Mora in Europe?
Earlier this week, TUDN journalist David Faitelson revealed that Xolos de Tijuana had reportedly received an offer of more than 50 million dollars from Liverpool for Gilberto Mora. Therefore, if the operation is finalized, it would become the most expensive signing of a Mexican footballer to a European team.
Subsequently, ESPN reported that the potential transfer of Mora to Europe would be announced on October 14, the date on which the midfielder turns 18.
In addition to Liverpool, English media indicated that Arsenal would also be interested in the Mexican footballer and had even been in contact with his agent with a view to a possible transfer in January.
