1. How to schedule an appointment via the internet
The most used method is through the official SRE appointment portal.
Step by step:
- Ingresa a CITAS SRE en https://citas.sre.gob.mx.
- Inicia sesión con tu cuenta LlaveMX o utiliza tu correo electrónico según corresponda.
- Captura tu CURP y verifica tus datos personales.
- Selecciona el trámite que deseas realizar.
- Elige la vigencia del pasaporte.
- Selecciona la oficina de la SRE donde deseas acudir.
- Escoge la fecha y horario disponibles.
- Confirma la cita y guarda o imprime el comprobante.

2. How to schedule an appointment via telephone
People who prefer telephone assistance can schedule their appointment directly with the SRE. This is what you must do:

- Anotar el número de folio que sea proporcionado.

Since 2023, the SRE has incorporated an official chatbot to facilitate the process from mobile phones.
Step by step:

- Abre WhatsApp y envía la palabra"Hola".
- Sigue las instrucciones del asistente virtual.
- Selecciona el estado y la oficina donde deseas realizar el trámite.
- Ingresa tu CURP.

- Elige la vigencia del pasaporte.
- Proporciona tu correo electrónico.
- Recibe la confirmación y la información correspondiente a tu cita.
The SRE recommends verifying that the number has the official identification of the agency to avoid fraud.
Recommendations for the day of the appointment
The SRE advises arriving approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled time and bringing all original documents required for the process. In addition, an appointment does not automatically guarantee the issuance of the passport, as the documentation will be reviewed by agency personnel.
