Apple presented its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, and Samsung took the moment to remind the world that it launched its first foldable model seven years ago.
However, internet users recalled their own experiences with the South Korean company and claimed they have had problems with their line of foldable phones.

Samsung mocks Apple's new foldable iPhone
During the presentation of Apple's new foldable phone, Samsung published a series of messages on X in which they mocked the new features presented by the company behind the iPhone.
"Let us know when you're done reheating our leftovers," they wrote.
In another post, they added: "Was there variety? No. Was it exciting? No. Did it happen? Yes. #TimeToSwitch".
Likewise, Samsung joined the conversation from the language learning app Duolingo, which joked that Apple copied its name.
"What an exciting Apple event! I really hope they don't infringe on my brand's rights," wrote Duolingo. "It's called an iPhone WHAT???".
In response, Samsung replied: "So sorry, @DuoLingo. They copied us too #Solidarity".
Users respond to Samsung's mocking
Samsung's Mexico account also joined in the criticism of the new foldable iPhone, writing: "The world belongs to those who dare first. We dared 7 years ago."
In another post, they added: "Is anyone else having a déjà vu? Signed: The CM".
The comments did not take long to arrive. One X user pointed out that the hinge on their foldable phone is not working and that Customer Service told them that the repair is not covered under their warranty.
"Your damn foldable phone where the hinge doesn't even last, plus if you go to customer service here in Mexico they tell you that that repair isn't valid and isn't covered by the warranty or your protection plan, lol go to h*ll," they wrote.
Another user claimed that, while Samsung was the first company to release a foldable phone, it was more important to do it carefully and with time to avoid failures.
"You were the first, but better late and well done than first and with a ton of failures," they expressed.
"And not even in 7 years have they managed to make foldable phones that don't break on the first drop," added another user.
There were also internet users who complained that the crease remains marked on Samsung's foldable devices.
"F*ck it. With your foldable phones where the crease stays marked and the hinge breaks within a year. What's the point of being first if you just do stupid sh*t," wrote one user.
Users remind Samsung when they removed the charger
Meanwhile, another internet user pointed out that Samsung usually mocks Apple, but subsequently ends up adopting some of their decisions.
As an example, they recalled Apple's decision to remove the charger from their phone boxes and pointed out that Samsung also took a similar measure.
"Yes, the déjà vu is that every time Apple does something, you mock them and then copy it. Do you remember how you had fun when Apple removed the charger from the box? Guess who now does the same thing. You live off an imaginary fight, let everyone buy what they like, ridiculous."
