An Amazon cargo plane veered off the runway while landing on Sunday in Miami, crashed into several vehicles, and caught fire, authorities reported.
Videos showed thick smoke coming from the Boeing 767, which had arrived around 2:00 PM (1800 GMT) from Puerto Rico, as fire trucks rushed to the scene.
No fatalities were reported at this time.
The incident was reported by the Federal Aviation Administration and Miami International Airport.
The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department indicated that the plane, which was operating as Prime Air flight 7598, caught fire as a result of what it described as a crash.
"Firefighters are working to extinguish the fire and evaluate patients," it noted on X.
The Department said the plane overran a runway and struck several vehicles near the airport. More than 60 firefighters rushed to the scene, it added.
The airport reported that all of its runways and taxiways were closed.
Amazon said in a statement that the incident occurred when the aircraft was "attempting to land."
The company also did not report any injuries or deaths at this time.
"This is a developing situation and we are still gathering information. We are working closely with the authorities and local officials to understand exactly what happened," said Amazon spokeswoman Kelly Nantel in the statement.
