According to a source close to the situation, Prince Harry's wife made it clear that she "won't humble herself" in front of her sister-in-law.
The version emerges just days after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the United Kingdom with their children, Archie and Lilibet, after several years of living in California. The couple arrived in Birmingham on August 26 and plans to remain in the UK for an extended period.

According to information published on September 4, Meghan Markle would not be willing to apologize to Kate Middleton if it implies solely assuming responsibility for the conflict between the two.
A source cited by RadarOnline claimed that Meghan would be willing to be cordial and believes that rebuilding the relationship with Kate would facilitate family coexistence, but she would not accept returning to the UK to "accept that everything that went wrong was her fault."
Furthermore, Meghan considers that a reconciliation would have to include recognition and effort from both parties.
"Meghan is willing to be cordial and recognizes that rebuilding the relationship with Kate would make life much easier for everyone. What she will not do is return to Britain, hang her head, and accept that everything that went wrong was, in some way, her fault. For Meghan, reconciliation must involve progress and recognition from both parties," the source indicated.
They added: "Meghan has reached a point where she simply is not willing to humble herself before anyone to be readmitted to the royal family, and Kate is no exception (...) she may truly want the hostility between them to end, especially now that they are living in the same country again, but she does not believe reconciliation should require her to assume all the blame or act as if only she had something to apologize for."
Finally, the informant explained that Meghan "is willing to explore the possibility of establishing a different and more peaceful relationship with Kate, but it would have to be based on mutual respect and effort from both. She is not going to bow down to Kate, beg for forgiveness, or pretend that her own resentments never existed just to reach a royal peace agreement."
