United States President Donald Trump claimed this Tuesday that the protests in defense of public education taking place in France are a reflection of how Islam wants to "take over what was once a great country."

In a Truth Social post, Trump declared that the riots, which are taking place in Paris and other major French cities, are due to "nothing less than out of control mass immigration" and are not, in his view, "about schools."

These revolts by high school students, which began on September 17 at a high school on the outskirts of Paris and subsequently spread throughout France to demand better conditions in the centers and in the organization of studies, were supported today by several unions and French leftist parties.

The protesters reject cuts in the public sector and the demonstrations are gathering tens of thousands of people today in favor of better education in major French cities.

From mid-September to date, 200 students have been injured and more than 5,000 arrests have been recorded throughout the country, in addition to damage to educational centers and street furniture already estimated at several tens of millions of euros.

The Executive branch accelerated the processing of a law to force the parents of minors to pay for their children's acts of vandalism. At the same time, at least 10% of high schools have seen their operations disrupted by picket lines and blockades.
