Adrián Marcelo opened up about the reasons that led him to end his marriage to Karina Puente after his controversial participation in La Casa de los Famosos.
In an interview with Shanik Berman, the Monterrey native stated that he does not blame the TelevisaUnivision show for his separation, as he noted that, after his departure, he still "had a great marriage."
The content creator admitted that, upon leaving La Casa de los Famosos, he focused on work because he had "a ridiculous amount of work." Instead of tending to the wound that he said the show had caused in his marriage, he decided to "make invisible" that pain.
Marcelo acknowledged that he ended up neglecting and ignoring his relationship, which caused fights that ultimately led to "irreconcilable differences."
He also said it was he who asked Karina for a divorce after she kicked him out of the house for being "cold" and "distant." As he explained, it reached a point where "total communication was lost."

Even though they have been separated for a year and officially divorced for two months, Marcelo hopes to return to Karina and end his life by her side.
“I hope to end my life someday with her,” he expressed.
When Shanik asked how long he planned to wait for her, the content creator admitted he did not know, but acknowledged that pride was one of the factors that drove them apart.
“I don't know. Pride can do it and believe me, one of the most crucial factors for why we are not together today was pride from both of us.”
Despite the separation, Marcelo assured that he only has words of love and respect for Karina and that he wishes her the best.
“I think the only thing I have is words of love and respect for that person and the only thing I want is for her to be okay.”
Furthermore, he pointed out that he currently does not want to start a relationship with anyone, because he does not feel mentally prepared.
“I don't want to. Right now I am indeed very damaged,” he said.
