The platforms 'Disney+' and 'Hulu' confirmed the return of the iconic series 'Glee' eleven years after the last episode that aired in March 2015, Variety reported this Wednesday.
The series, which first aired in 2009 on the 'Fox' network, will be produced by '20th Television' and will be available to watch on both platforms, although the premiere date has not yet been announced.
Information about the cast has not yet been confirmed, although the director, Ryan Murphy, recently said in an interview with 'Entertainment Tonight' that he had been "in contact" with about ten of the actors from the original series.
In that same interview, he also confirmed that the script for the new season has already been written, a project that Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan have collaborated on.
Among the performers who participated in the series last decade are Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Amber Riley, Naya Rivera, and Heather Morris, among others.

The new production will not be able to bring together all the actors who were part of it at the time because three of them passed away in recent years, the last being Naya Rivera, who in 2020 lost her life at the age of 33 while trying to save her son in a lake.
This series, which was a cultural phenomenon at the time, dealt with controversial topics such as sexuality, race, disability, or mental health and brought to stardom new interpretations of songs like 'Don’t Stop Believin’; 'Teenage Dream'; 'River Deep, Mountain High' and 'Smooth Criminal'.
