Marcelia Figueroa reacted to Imelda Tuñón's statements regarding the medications she allegedly gave to Julián Figueroa and backed Maribel Guardia in her quest to spend time with her grandson again. The late singer's sister stated she trusts that "divine justice will arrive" for the case.
The controversy between Imelda Tuñón and Julián Figueroa's family has gained a new reaction: Marcelia Figueroa, sister of the late singer and daughter of Joan Sebastian, spoke out about her former sister-in-law's recent statements and sent a message expressing her confidence in justice, both legal and divine.
During an interview with Despierta América, Marcelia was questioned about Imelda's claims regarding the medications she reportedly obtained through psychiatric consultations and which, according to her own account, Julián later consumed. Joan Sebastian's daughter avoided going into detail about the accusations but made her stance clear. "I honestly am not going to talk about that person, I am not going to talk about someone else's statements," she said.
She specified: "I, as always, what I can tell you is that I trust in justice, divine justice, especially, I got this from my father and well, time will tell, I believe everything falls into place, I trust in the development of things," she commented.
In addition to speaking about Imelda's statements, Marcelia expressed her support for Maribel Guardia in her intention to regain time with her grandson, José Julián. She also backed her decision to pursue legal avenues to resolve the situation.
"I strongly support her taking action on the matter and finally having this attitude of standing up, because I believe she tried to be very gentle at first, she tried to do everything with love and in good faith, and I dare say that even now she always does it thinking about a greater good and the good of the child, but I think the gentle ways didn't work much and now it's time to take more drastic measures," she said regarding the actress's position.
For now, Marcelia did not state that she intends to take legal action of her own to request visitation with her nephew; she asserted that her priority is for Maribel to be able to see her grandson and for the matter to be resolved.
