After Maribel Guardia filed a complaint against her with the Mexico City Prosecutor's Office for health-related crimes and the possible homicide of Julián Figueroa, the young actress publicly shared that she left the country, news that caused a stir due to the accusations she is facing.
The complaint filed by Maribel Guardia on September 24 is related to statements Imelda Tuñón made on the Mesa Cero podcast. During said program, Julián Figueroa's widow recounted that she lied to a psychiatrist about symptoms she was supposedly experiencing in order to obtain medications, which she later gave to her husband.
Tuñón explained that Julián had anxiety and sleep problems and that, according to her version, his own specialists did not want to prescribe certain medications. After these statements, Maribel Guardia's lawyer, Alonso Beceiro, reported that the actress decided to go to the Prosecutor's Office so that the facts could be investigated.

So far, there is no confirmation that Imelda Tuñón has left Mexico permanently following Maribel Guardia's complaint. What is a fact is that she left the country, as the young woman shared a series of stories on her Instagram account in which she "says goodbye" to Mexico.
In the first one, she documented that she was on the highway in Reynosa, Tamaulipas; she wrote "Bye Mexico." Later, she shared other images in which it can be seen that she is arriving in a city and signs written in English can also be seen, which is why her followers began to speculate that she might be in Houston.
After these photographs, the celebrity has also shared posts on her Instagram stories, which, according to social media users, could be a hint about what she is going through. With messages such as "There are people who don't hurt you to your face but poison others so that they do" and "If several people are uniting against one person, believe the person who is alone," she has tried to defend herself, they claim.

According to information from Maribel Guardia's legal team, the complaint seeks for the authorities to investigate alleged health-related crimes and a possible homicide related to the death of Julián Figueroa.
The legal action took place after the statements Imelda Tuñón made publicly about the medications she obtained for her then-husband, Julián Figueroa, who died on April 9, 2023.
