In this context, Zapata launched a controversial reflection on the age difference that existed in the relationship between Thalía and the son of former president Gustavo Díaz Ordaz; in a meeting with the media, she suggested that the death of the singer's father (which occurred when she was a child) could have influenced her romantic life.
"Thalía lacked a father, her father died very young, I mean, when she was a child, so perhaps in some way she was looking for, I don't know, it doesn't mean that I'm saying that's what happened to her," she expressed.
Afterward, she clarified: "Many young women who don't have a father look for a paternal image in a man who supports them, who loves them, who pampers them."
Regarding whether she saw Thalía in love with Alfredo Díaz Ordaz, she answered: "Yes, I saw her in love, but the thing is that women look for powerful men and men look for young women to disseminate their seed (...) I saw Thalía really in love, really very happy, and Alfredo was a beautiful person."

Alfredo Díaz Ordaz was a music producer and the son of Gustavo Díaz Ordaz, president of Mexico between 1964 and 1970. In addition to his family relationship with the former president, he developed a career in the music industry and participated in Thalía's early years as a solo artist.
The singer met Díaz Ordaz at the end of the 1980s, when she began to develop her career outside of Timbiriche. He participated in the production of her first solo albums, including Thalía and Mundo de cristal.
The professional relationship turned into a courtship that, according to different reports, lasted about four years. The couple became engaged but did not marry because Díaz Ordaz died in December 1993, while Thalía was filming the soap opera Marimar.
