This Sunday, October 18, at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California, Victoria's Secret surprised everyone by reviving its Fantasy Bra tradition with Kylie Jenner.
The businesswoman not only debuted at the brand's annual show, but she also wore the most expensive Fantasy Bra in its history, valued at 50 million dollars.
In an interview with Vogue, Dam Selman, creative director of Victoria's Secret, revealed that the return of the Fantasy Bra was one of the most frequent requests from fans last year, so they decided to bring it back "in a really fun and over-the-top way."
Selman described the piece as "a truly over-the-top piece of jewelry and art" and "almost museum-quality."
He also explained that they chose Kylie Jenner to wear it on the runway due to the cultural impact she has had as a model, businesswoman, and television personality.
"Kylie really goes beyond fashion, beyond culture, beyond television, beyond just one thing... She has truly created her own culture, and... how many people can say the same? I think it's an interesting combination that we are offering to the fans: we're giving them what they want with this incredible Fantasy Bra, and we're going to put it on an unexpected figure who has a huge following and a massive cultural impact," he explained.

The Fantasy Bra that Kylie Jenner wore was the most expensive in the history of Victoria's Secret, with a value of 50 million dollars.
According to Vogue, the design features "4,410 natural diamonds surrounding a 75.54-carat radiant-cut Fancy Vivid yellow diamond."
15 artisans participated in its creation, requiring more than 1,000 hours to complete the high-jewelry piece.
The design ended up weighing "just under four pounds."
