Presley Gerber, son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, allegedly arrived under the influence of a substance at a high-end Santa Monica rehabilitation center a day before his death, according to reports cited by Page Six and TMZ. Here is what is known about the matter...
The 27-year-old model had voluntarily checked into the rehabilitation center on Saturday to receive treatment for his addiction issues and declining mental health.
According to a source cited by TMZ, Presley “did not appear to be sober” when he arrived at the facility. The young man remained at Resolutions Living, an exclusive $7.7 million rehab residence, where he died the following day, Sunday, around 9 am.
Initial reports indicated that the celebrity may have lost his life to a possible overdose, although this version has not yet been officially confirmed by the authorities leading the investigation and the corresponding autopsy.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Department reported that both the cause and manner of Presley's death remain pending.
Among the latest updates regarding the model's passing, a recording of the 911 call was revealed, indicating that the young man suffered cardiac arrest before dying at the rehab center. A source present at the scene noted that police, paramedics, and firefighters spent about three hours responding to the incident.
The Gerber-Crawford family asked for privacy following the tragedy, which also affected Kaia Gerber, Presley's younger sister. In a joint statement, his family members expressed that they are going through an especially painful time. Presley had spoken publicly on other occasions about his mental health issues and his struggle with addiction.
In November 2025, the model revealed on Instagram that he had temporarily stepped away from his activities to focus on his mental health. He also announced the “Mental Health Mondays” project, with which he sought to open conversations about topics that many people prefer to keep private.
A month later, he stated that he had been sober for five months and spoke about some of the medications he was using, including buprenorphine, ketamine, and Xanax, according to his own statements.
Despite his difficulties, a source close to him stated that Presley wanted to recover and free himself from his addictions. “He was not doing well,” the informant told Page Six, while also describing his self-esteem issues.
Presley's problems with substances were not new. In December 2018, when he was 19 years old, he was arrested in California for driving under the influence of alcohol. He subsequently received two years of probation, in addition to being required to complete a program for drunk drivers and perform community service.
At the beginning of this year, Presley revealed on social media that he had traveled to Cancun, Mexico, to undergo ibogaine treatment, a psychedelic drug used to treat substance abuse and dependency.
