The estrangement between Prince William and Prince Harry has once again put the British royal family at the center of controversy: a recent report revealed the final wish King Charles III reportedly has before he dies: he wants to see his sons together, who have been at odds for several years.
The reconciliation between William and Harry remains one of Buckingham Palace's pending issues. Amidst years of estrangement, a source stated that King Charles has a personal wish now that he is battling cancer: that his two sons manage to grow closer again.

According to RadarOnline, someone close to the royal family stated that Charles wants to see William and Harry together, and is even pushing for them to appear in public.
"Charles believes that the brothers' continued separation harms family relationships and the public image of the monarchy, and he finds it heartbreaking to witness (...) he does not want to die without seeing his children reunite in some way," they recounted.
According to the American media outlet, the monarch has even requested the help of his sister, Princess Anne, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh. The three of them are reportedly trying to convince William to agree and forgive his brother, but he does not want to.
RadarOnline noted that Prince Harry wrote in his book that after Prince Philip's funeral in April 2021, Charles told his sons: "Please, boys, don't make my final years a misery."
The issue of the fight between Princess Diana and Charles' sons gained attention again this month after the Duke of Sussex spoke about his relationship with his father and brother during an interview with GQ magazine, in which he acknowledged that he wishes to repair family ties.
Why are William and Harry estranged?
The rift between the brothers has deepened since Harry and Meghan Markle abandoned their official duties in 2020. Family differences became more visible after their media interviews, the documentary series about their lives, and the publication of Harry's memoir.
In those accounts, the Duke of Sussex spoke of his disagreements with members of the royal family, including William.
