According to the version circulating in various media outlets, Imelda reportedly traveled to Houston, Texas, with her son on the recommendation of her lawyers.
In an interview with Ernesto Buitrón, Maribel Guardia spoke briefly about this situation and made it clear that what concerns her most is the well-being of her grandson. "I am not calm, I am asking God that the boy is well," the actress commented regarding the fact that Imelda and José Julián left Mexico.
When asked about her state of mind after having filed the complaint against her former daughter-in-law, she replied: "I am not well, always asking God for the truth to come out and hopefully it causes as little damage as possible."
Regarding the complaint filed, she asserted that "I did not want to take action against her, but there are moments when there is no other choice but to do things; she has spoken in such a way that there was nothing else to do, it was necessary to go where I had to go, and there are more things that I know that I have kept to myself during all this time, that my conscience was already telling me 'I have to do it'."
Regarding the statements made by Imelda Garza that she obtained controlled medications for Julián Figueroa, Maribel said it was very painful for her to learn the details. "It is very hard for me to think that Julián was a person who had a doctor, several doctors who had him totally contained and that this was something that a person who loved him should not have done to him," she specified.
Finally, when the journalist asked her if she was going to pursue the complaint she filed to its final consequences, she replied: "That is what we are doing."
Amid the scandal involving her, Imelda Garza Tuñón remains active on her social media, and her latest messages have been pointed out by her followers as a clear jab at her former mother-in-law. With posts such as "You wouldn't bite a dog back. You just move on and say: well, that's what dogs do," the young woman has attempted to defend herself against the accusations.

Maribel Guardia filed a complaint against Imelda Tuñón for crimes against health and the possible homicide of Julián Figueroa. The complaint was filed with the capital's Prosecutor's Office and is related to the statements the young woman made on the Mesa Cero podcast.
In them, Julián Figueroa's widow recounted that she had lied to a psychiatrist to obtain medications that were later consumed by the singer, who had problems sleeping and suffered from anxiety. Maribel Guardia's lawyer, Alonso Beceiro, maintained that those statements warranted an investigation.
