The fracture in the relationship between Princes William and Harry seems far from over. Although Harry's return to the United Kingdom had fueled expectations of a possible reconciliation and a return to the ranks of the royal family, new reports indicate that his older brother is particularly annoyed with him and is already planning to banish him.
According to reports in the American press, one of the many issues keeping them at odds is the alleged documentary about Diana that is reportedly being produced by the Duke of Sussex ahead of the 30th anniversary of his mother's death in August 2027.

William, according to reports, has refused to participate in various projects about the princess and seeks to prevent the family history from becoming a source of conflict and media attention once again.
According to a source cited by Radar Online, William fears that a Harry documentary could reveal new details about the royal family and compared the situation to what happened after the publication of the memoir Spare: “William fears the film will reveal even more secrets about the royal family,” the outlet cites. “For William, this is crossing a line that cannot be undone,” it adds.

The same source went as far as to state that, after his father's death, William could permanently cut ties with Harry, banishing him from the United Kingdom forever along with his wife Meghan Markle and their children Lilibet and Archie.
“When his father dies, William plans to banish Harry forever (...) Harry will become persona non grata in the United Kingdom,” the informant noted.
The tension surrounding the issue is reportedly related to the possibility that the Lady Di documentary could land on Netflix, a platform with which Harry and Meghan Markle have worked on previous projects and where some of the most controversial comments and revelations about their experience in the royal family were shared.
William wants the banishment, but Charles insists on reconciling them before he dies
Amidst William's alleged plans to banish his brother following the death of Charles III, the king reportedly has his own strategy to reconcile his sons prior to Diana's 30th anniversary.
Outlets like Vanity Fair and Geo News point out that the monarch wants to bring the princes together to hold a religious service in honor of Lady Di in August 2027; he reportedly believes that his sons will not be able to refuse to be together at such an event.
It is worth remembering that in 2007, the princes met to lead a joint tribute to their mother on her 20th anniversary. The King hopes that the meeting can be repeated for Diana's sake alone. So far, there is no information indicating any confirmed joint engagements.
Thus, while some sources claim that William has reached a point of no return with Harry, Charles remains hopeful that the memory of Diana will do exactly the opposite: bring his sons together again.
For now, the alleged “banishment” after the king's death remains a claim attributed to anonymous sources. Royal expert Tom Sykes, writing via Page Six, asserts that reconciliation “is simply not going to happen,” not even for the sake of the princess.
