Mexican rider Isaac Del Toro, who finished third in the last Tour de France at just 22 years old, renewed his contract with UAE until 2031, the Emirati team announced this Thursday.

"This extension constitutes another significant investment by the UAE team in the future, securing the services of one of the most promising young riders during what should be the best years of his career," Tadej Pogacar's team reacted in a statement.
"Signing a long-term contract gives me a lot of confidence in the future because I know I am in the right place (...). We have already achieved incredible victories together, but I sincerely believe the best is yet to come," declared Del Toro, who joined UAE in 2024.
As a loyal supporter of his leader Tadej Pogacar, winner of his fifth Tour de France, the Mexican was very prominent during the Grande Boucle: winner of the second stage in Barcelona, he climbed onto the final podium, behind 'Pogi' and the Belgian Remco Evenepoel, and took the white jersey for best young rider ahead of the great French prospect Paul Seixas, 19.
Before that, Isaac Del Toro had won several races this season, including Tirreno-Adriatico and the Tour of Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes (formerly Dauphiné).
At nearly 28 years old, Pogacar, for his part, has a contract with UAE until 2030.
