Is Gilberto Mora going to Europe? The Mexican player, who is turning 18 this Wednesday, October 14, is back at the center of rumors about his future, after his representative, Rafaela Pimenta, acknowledged that there is a European team interested in adding him to their ranks. However, the agent asked for caution and made it clear that nothing has been confirmed yet.
In an interview with TNT Sports Mexico, Pimenta spoke about the possibility of Mora reaching elite football in Europe and explained that any move will depend on the parties involved being in agreement; that is, that the Xolos de Tijuana let him go, that the team in question is willing to pay for him, and that Morita wishes to move.

“It could be, if his team agrees, my European team and he also, you know that by law he can do it,” she commented, without revealing the name of the interested club.
It is worth mentioning that in recent months, following his projection in the 2026 World Cup, Gilberto Mora has been on the radar of clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid, and Barcelona.

The representative also clarified that her words do not mean that the young Mexican has already signed with a team. Faced with speculation about his future, she insisted that there is still uncertainty and asked not to take his transfer for granted.
“No, I am not saying that he has already signed. It could be, it could not be. The game is just to imagine that it may or may not be, calm down,” said the representative for Gil, who also manages the careers of international figures such as Erling Haaland, Santiago Giménez, and Paul Pogba.
For her part, Pimenta suggested that Morita will not leave the Tijuana club until June 2027; this comment rolls back all the claims that had been made about his 18th birthday being the moment he would go to the Old Continent.
The Brazilian representative emphasized that signings are closed for now and that the next period would be in January, but ruled out the possibility of it happening then since transfers are limited: “We all know that the transfer window is closed, there are no transfers until January and then until June. And the January transfers are smaller transfers.”
“The expectations are so big, the rumors are so big. I don’t want to be annoying, but we don’t want to break the toy; the toy is a young man who is growing and needs his space, his time, and he doesn’t need pressure. Everything will come, everything will arrive,” she noted.
Regarding the reality of Mora's transfer and his reaching adulthood, Pimenta pointed out that there will be no announcement about his future beyond what she gave and added that this October 14 will only be for celebrating, not to give news about his career or to reveal whether he signed with a club or not.
“Let’s think about celebrating, celebrating his life, his adulthood, his future, and his past; that is what makes him important. Maybe he already signed, we don't know. We must choose the moment to announce it, but not on his birthday,” she pointed out.
During the last few months, the Xolos player's name has been linked to high-profile clubs in the Premier League and the Spanish League. When asked about the reports linking the Mexican to Liverpool, Pimenta responded: “I haven't read that news, I'm unaware of it.”
How much is Gilberto Mora worth in the market?
