The Secretariat of Welfare began delivering payments to beneficiaries of the main pensions this month. However, authorities announced that there will be a pause in deposits during September 2026, meaning some pensioners will have to wait longer to collect their money. Bienestar Pension deposits corresponding to the September-October bimonthly period began this Tuesday, September 1, and will be carried out in a staggered manner according to the first letter of the surname. Beneficiaries who will receive their money are those registered in:
-Pension for Senior Citizens
-Pension for Persons with Disabilities
-Women's Welfare Pension
-Welfare Program for Girls and Boys, Children of Working Mothers.
However, some beneficiaries will receive their money a little later because the delivery of funds will be paused; authorities explained the reason for the suspension.
When will the September 2026 Bienestar Pension payments stop?
The pause will occur on September 16 because it is a mandatory rest day in Mexico, so it is not included as a deposit date within the Secretariat of Welfare's calendar.
It is important to clarify that this is not a suspension of the Bienestar Pension nor a loss of financial support. The distribution is only interrupted during that day, and payments will continue afterward as established.
When will Bienestar Pension deposits resume?
Deposits will resume on Thursday, September 17, when it is the turn of people whose first surname begins with N, Ñ, and O.

How much will be deposited for the Bienestar Pension in September 2026?
The amounts are:
- Pensión para Adultos Mayores: $6,400 pesos bimestrales
- Pensión Mujeres Bienestar: $3,100 pesos bimestrales
- Pensión para Personas con Discapacidad: $3,300 pesos bimestrales
- Programa para Madres Trabajadoras: $1,650 pesos bimestrales en la mayoría de los casos.
When do Bienestar Pension payments end?
Payments for the penultimate Bienestar Pension deposit conclude on Friday, September 25; beneficiaries should keep in mind that after that deposit, only the November-December bimonthly payment will remain to be delivered.
