The federal prosecutor's office in Kansas arrested 24-year-old Jaden J. Read for posting death threats against United States President on social media, including a message in which he claimed to have .308 and .305 caliber bullets to "kill this pedophile."

In a statement, the prosecutor's office explained that it filed a criminal complaint thanks to an anonymous tip that led authorities to a Facebook post where Read made comments in response to a 'KAKE News' article about the president's visit to Wichita, Kansas, on October 19 for an election rally.

"Let's shoot Trump, seriously, where is our shooter? I'm tired of living with these money worries," the arrested man posted on social media.

Authorities discovered that Read made two more threatening comments in response to another KWCH 12 News article about President Trump's upcoming visit, where he said he would shoot the president himself and claimed he knew where the president's speech would take place.

Furthermore, he expressed in those messages that he had scouted the surrounding rooftops and maintained that "no one" would be able to help Trump.

U.S. Attorney Ryan A. Kriegshauser commented that political violence or threats would not be "tolerated," adding that the First Amendment allows for "robust disagreement" but must remain "within constitutionally protected speech."

HOW MANY ASSASSINATION ATTEMPTS HAS DONALD TRUMP FACED?

Trump has suffered three assassination attempts, the first in July 2024 during an election rally in Pennsylvania for the presidential race, where he was wounded in the right ear by gunfire.

In September of that same year, a Secret Service agent detected, and subsequently arrested, an armed man at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The last attempt occurred during his second term, on April 25, 2026, when an armed man attempted to breach a security checkpoint at the Washington Hilton hotel, where the White House Correspondents' Dinner was being held.
