United States President Donald Trump showed his anger on Tuesday at a journalist whom he told to be quiet while the reporter was insistently trying to ask him a question in the Oval Office of the White House.
"Shut up! Shut up! What's wrong with you, are you sick?" the president snapped at Andrew Feinberg, White House correspondent for the British newspaper The Independent.
Feinberg, with whom Trump was short-tempered at several moments during the exchange with journalists in the Oval Office, was raising his voice over another reporter's to ask his question when the Republican demanded he be quiet.
"I don't know who the hell you are, but you'd better be careful," the president told him at another moment during the meeting with the media.
The U.S. president has confronted journalists on several occasions—especially female reporters—during this second term that began in January 2025.
In November 2025, he told Bloomberg journalist Catherine Lucey "shut up, little pig" when she asked him aboard the presidential plane Air Force One about the Jeffrey Epstein pedophile case, while in May of this year he called MS NOW's Akayla Gardner "stupid" when the journalist asked him about the cost overruns for the construction of a large ballroom at the White House.
In November of the previous year, he also described ABC News' Mary Bruce as a "terrible journalist" after she asked the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, at the White House about the murder of dissident and journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
U.S. intelligence services concluded that bin Salman had approved the operation to capture or kill Khashoggi. EFE
