Midfielder Luis Romo will be out for the Mexico national team for this Tuesday's match against Chile in Los Angeles due to an injury in his left thigh, the Mexican federation reported this Monday.

Romo is the fourth absence announced by El Tri in recent days during the current FIFA window, in which former defender Rafa Márquez debuted as head coach.

Between Saturday and Sunday, the absences of winger Hirving Lozano and midfielder Gilberto Mora, the great promise of Mexican soccer, were announced due to physical problems. Fullback Mateo Chávez is also out due to suspension after being sent off in the friendly against the United States.

"After an examination was performed, the player (Luis Romo) has a muscular injury in the biceps femoris of his left leg, and will therefore return to his club," the Mexican National Team Sports Directorate reported in a statement.

Mexico will play its fourth and final match of the current international window against Chile on Tuesday.

In the three previous games, El Tri drew 1-1 with Colombia and Peru and was routed by the United States (3-0).
