A reporter and a cameraman from the media outlet Gamavisión were hit while covering a road accident live on Morones Prieto Avenue, in Monterrey, Nuevo León.
According to various media outlets, the accident occurred at 8:05 a.m. this Friday, October 2nd.
Reporter Alma de la Rosa Flores and cameraman Cristo Martínez were on Morones Prieto Avenue reporting live on a motorcyclist crashing into a fallen tree when a Jeep SUV lost control on the wet pavement and veered toward them.
After the broadcast was cut, Mario Gámez, the news anchor, informed the audience about what happened and asked for his colleagues' location to call emergency services.
“We just witnessed an accident live, and our reporter and cameraman were run over just as they were giving a warning report about the pile of dirt that was on Morones Prieto; find them for me so I can send emergency services."
After the incident, members of Monterrey Civil Protection, Nuevo León Civil Protection, and Red Cross paramedics arrived at the scene to assist Rosa Flores and Martínez.
Subsequently, a reporter from Telediario Monterrey arrived at the scene and reported that Martínez would be taken to a medical unit, as he apparently had a fracture in one of his legs and a shoulder.
For her part, Rosa Flores was in severe pain, and paramedics were evaluating whether she also required hospitalization.

Through his social media, Mario Gámez reported that Rosa Flores and Martínez had already been taken to the hospital and that they had bruises and injuries, but nothing serious.
"My two colleagues are doing very well. Bruised, hurt, scared, but there are no serious injuries... they are injuries, yes, but not significant ones."
What caused the reporter and the cameraman to be hit?
According to Telediario Monterrey, the young man, approximately 25 years old, who was driving the Jeep SUV, had been cut off by another driver, which caused him to lose control of the steering wheel.
According to the media outlet, the young man was detained by the authorities.
