The President of the United States, Donald Trump, claimed this Tuesday, during his speech before the UN General Assembly, that he "makes peace" while others only talk about it.
"While others have talked about peace, I have made peace. While others have ignored threats, I have faced them. While others have talked about bravery, the United States has demonstrated it. While others have promised, promised strength, I have used it to make the United States the most powerful country in the world," he declared.
Trump, who often claims that he has put an end to eight wars and that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, made these statements while the United States is at war with Iran, a conflict that threatens to take its toll on the Republicans in the November legislative elections.
"As president of the most extraordinary nation in history, I have no interest in letting dangers continue to grow one more day," the president said in his speech.
The president stated that there is no "better example" of how the United States faces these threats than the war with Iran.
"There is no better example of a danger that was allowed to grow at all costs than the Islamic Republic of Iran, the leading sponsor of terrorism," he said.
