The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) enabled the system this Friday, August 7, for applicants summoned to the 2026 In-Person Control Exam to check and obtain their appointment, reported the General Directorate of School Administration (DGAE).
Applicants must log in with their personal password to "TU SITIO," available within the microsite for the Bachelor's Degree Admission Selection Contest for the 2026-2027/1 school year.
Upon obtaining the appointment for the UNAM control exam, each applicant will be able to access essential information for taking the test, such as the date, time, venue, map, and required documentation.
The enabling of the system is a key step for the thousands of young people who must retake the entrance evaluation after the UNAM detected atypical results in the first online bachelor's admission exam conducted.

According to the DGAE notice published this August 7, summoned applicants must log in to "TU SITIO" with their personal password.
Once inside the system, they will be able to obtain their individual appointment for the In-Person Control Exam. It will indicate where and when they must show up, as well as the documents they will need to bring.
The DGAE also enabled the email concursos_de_seleccion_2026@dgae.unam.mx to address questions related to this process.

On August 5, the UNAM published the reference scores used to determine which applicants must attend the in-person exam.
The university released a table called "minimum 2021-2026," which corresponds to the lowest number of correct answers with which it was possible to enter each bachelor's degree, school, and modality in any of the six admission processes included in that period.
The criteria does not only consider those who initially secured a spot in the 2026 contest. It also includes applicants who were not admitted, but whose number of correct answers was equal to or higher than the 2021-2026 historical minimum corresponding to the degree program they applied for.
Therefore, applicants must compare the number of correct answers obtained in this year's exam with the reference score published for their degree program. If they reached or exceeded that minimum, they must take the new in-person evaluation.

The UNAM In-Person Control Exam will be held from August 12 to 19, 2026, at locations in Mexico City, León, Oaxaca, and Tijuana.
The evaluation will be a requirement to confirm the admission of the summoned applicants.
Among the degree programs with the highest reference scores are Medicine, with 111 correct answers for the Faculty of Medicine at Ciudad Universitaria; Aerospace Engineering, also with 111; Computer Science, with 102; and Actuarial Science and Biomedical Physics, both with 101.

The extraordinary measure was taken after a technical committee detected atypical results in the admission exam, which was administered remotely for the first time.
The anomalies raised suspicions about possible misuse of artificial intelligence tools or other mechanisms to obtain answers during the evaluation. This does not mean that all summoned applicants committed any irregularity.
One of the data points that sounded the alarm was the sharp increase in participants with high scores. While in previous processes about 3.5% of applicants surpassed 100 correct answers, in 2026 the proportion increased to more than 16%.
Faced with this situation, the UNAM temporarily suspended new enrollment, formed a committee of 16 specialists, and established an in-person evaluation to verify the results.
The measure involves approximately 58,000 applicants, of whom about 22,000 will ultimately obtain a spot in a bachelor's degree program, according to information released by the institution.
