Producer Luis de Llano was "temporarily" arrested yesterday regarding the case of actress Sasha Sokol, who publicly denounced in 2022 that she suffered "abuse" at the hands of the producer.
Following the public denunciation, the former Timbiriche member filed a legal lawsuit against Luis de Llano arguing "moral damages," after the producer appeared in an interview with Yordi Rosado and claimed that he and Sasha had a romantic relationship when he was 39 and she was 14, as reported by El Universal.
With the lawsuit, the Mexican singer, actress, and songwriter was not seeking to see the producer behind bars, but rather to have the "damage" caused to her by that relationship, as well as by his statements with Yordi Rosado, legally "recognized."
The litigation reached the Supreme Court when Luis de Llano sought an injunction (amparo). His defense argued that the case had already prescribed, as the events had occurred decades ago.
However, the injunction was denied, and a ruling was issued that obliged the producer to issue a public apology and pay compensation that would be donated to an organization.
Why was Luis de Llano detained?
Yesterday, Sasha Sokol's legal team revealed that agents from the Mexico City Secretariat of Citizen Security detained Luis de Llano "due to the convicted party's resistance to comply with what was ordered in a final and unchallengeable sentence from the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation."
According to the document released by Sasha Sokol's legal team, the producer has two arrest warrants, each with "15 cumulative hours." These correspond to two separate instances of non-compliance:
- El primero es porque se ha negado “a grabar y exhibir al juzgado una disculpa pública dirigida a Sasha Sokol”.
- El segundo, porque también se ha negado “a publicar la síntesis de la sentencia donde se confirmó su responsabilidad por daño moral en contra de Sasha Sokol, al haberse comprobado que fue víctima de abuso sexual siendo menor de edad”, según detalla el documento.

Sasha Sokol's legal team stated that these arrest warrants serve as tools established by law to "compel a person to comply with court orders."
It also noted that the measures come after "months of non-compliance, ignored fines, and multiple requirements from the Judge that Luis de Llano disregarded."
If the producer continues to fail to comply with the ruling of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, "a crime could be established that implies up to 5 years in prison," the legal team details.
What did Luis de Llano's defense say about the Sasha Sokol case?
In an interview with the press, Francisco Mancera, Luis de Llano's lawyer, insinuated that a contempt of court order was being committed by making information about the case public by Sasha Sokol's legal team.
"But there is a court order of which I am aware that prohibits any person from disseminating any data related directly or indirectly to the process that Mr. Luis de Llano is undergoing; whoever publishes or disseminates any data commits a contempt of a court order."
