Former film producer Harvey Weinstein was sentenced on Wednesday to 15 years in prison in New York following a retrial for sexual assault against a former production assistant.
The 74-year-old founder of Miramax studios had been sentenced in 2020 to 23 years in prison for sexually assaulting Miriam Haley two decades ago. An appeals court overturned that sentence in 2024 on procedural grounds, and in the retrial, he was found guilty again in June of last year.
