Producer Luis de Llano rejected the use of his image in the new Timbiriche series by ViX, which premiered its first two episodes this Friday, October 9.
In a statement, Luis de Llano's legal representatives revealed that there is a legal proceeding underway regarding the use of his image without his consent.
"I am sharing specific information regarding my official position, legal compliance, procedural silence, and distancing from third parties, ahead of the TV premiere today of the bio-series, in a statement published today, October 8, 2026," Luis de Llano wrote on X.

The producer's legal representation noted that "the company, platform, and production house" had already been notified of Luis de Llano's opposition "to the lucrative and unauthorized use" of his image and rights.
Likewise, he asserted that they are distancing themselves "from any narrative issued unilaterally by said companies."
For his part, on his X account, Luis de Llano asserted that "there will be nothing more on the subject until the ongoing judicial process concludes."
What did the members of Timbiriche say about the ViX series?
Previously, the members of Timbiriche published a statement in which they also distanced themselves from the ViX series, as they asserted that they were not consulted for its creation nor did they authorize the use of their image.
"There is a huge difference between being inspired by an era and building a fiction around recognizable, living people without having heard from them or involved them... this is not the story of Timbiriche told by us... Perhaps one day we will decide to tell it, but then, it will be with respect for those of us who lived it and in our own voice," they expressed.
What did the series producer say about Sasha Sokol and Luis de Llano?
According to SensaCine, during the presentation of the series, producer Pablo Cruz revealed that the production took the legal case between Sasha Sokol and Luis de Llano into account, although he clarified that it is a work of fiction based on their interpretation of events.
"We took all that information and were inspired by all of it to write a fiction; it is our interpretation of what happened... We conducted a very long and very deep investigation into everything that is public... let's not forget that what we are presenting is a work of fiction," Cruz explained.
What happened between Sasha Sokol and Luis de Llano?
In 2022, after Luis de Llano made new statements regarding the relationship he had with Sasha Sokol, the former Timbiriche member publicly denounced that she had suffered abuse by the producer.
Sokol revealed that the relationship began when she was 14 and he was 39.
"Two days ago, Luis made false statements again about our relationship. He abused me then and he abuses me today by manipulating the truth. By wanting to minimize it to exempt himself from his responsibility in the events," she expressed at that time.
"When the relationship began I was 14 and he was 39. I was in Grease with Timbiriche and was clearly a child. We were together for almost 4 years... Why does he lie every time he speaks about me? Because he knows perfectly well that what he did is a crime. During our entire relationship I was a minor," she added.
Subsequently, Sasha Sokol filed a lawsuit against Luis de Llano for moral damages.
