During the presentation of his memoirs in New York on September 29, Charles Spencer revealed what would have become of Princess Diana if she hadn't married King Charles III.
His answer was simple and clear.

This response from Charles Spencer regarding his sister's relationship with Charles III comes after the first excerpts of Swan Song: Diana, My Sister were not well received by Buckingham Palace.
“Although, as a matter of principle, we do not comment on books, His Majesty is aware that the pain of losing a sibling can cloud reason, affect judgment, and skew memories in ways others do not perceive, even many years after such a loss.”
During the book presentation in New York, Charles Spencer described King Charles's response as “very aggressive” and “a misguided reaction to the book as a whole.”
Furthermore, he said he felt “very frustrated” by the reaction, as he considered that “anyone who reads the book will see that it is an affectionate tribute from a brother to his sister.”
Spencer also asserted that Diana would have been “happy” if she hadn't married the then-heir to the throne.
What would Charles Spencer say to King Charles III if he were to meet him?
During the Q&A session, one of the attendees asked Spencer what he would say to Charles III if he were to meet him.
“The British [are] very good at, let's say, looking at each other and acting in other parts of the room,” he replied.
Diana's joke about a funeral home that Charles Spencer recalled
One of the passages from Swan Song: Diana, My Sister that drew attention was the one in which Spencer recalled a joke his sister made about the flowers she received from a relative for her 36th birthday.
“I've been so lucky! My house is so full of beautiful flowers that it looks like a funeral home!” Diana wrote in response to her relative, according to Spencer's account.
This event occurred weeks before the car accident that took her life in 1997.
