Mexican player Hirving Lozano left San Diego FC this Friday and joined the Los Angeles Galaxy on loan until December 2026.
San Diego made official a deal that will allow Lozano to get minutes again, after the Mexican player was left on the sidelines of the team due to internal tensions.
"We worked with Hirving and his camp to find the right opportunity that would allow him to get back to playing minutes on the field," said San Diego sporting director Tyler Heaps.
"We appreciate his contributions during our record-breaking inaugural season and wish him the best as he continues his career," he added.
The contract includes a purchase option in favor of the Galaxy.
In all competitions, Lozano played 34 matches, with 11 goals and nine assists, as part of the San Diego roster, which reached the Western Conference final in the club's first MLS season in 2025.
