Cape Verde goalkeeper Josimar José Évora Dias, 'Vozinha', a standout at the 2026 World Cup, signed the contract on Monday that links him to Chile's Colo Colo, a club preparing a massive reception for him with fans at the Monumental stadium.
"Vozinha is now part of the Cacique!" announced Colo Colo on its official Instagram account, whose posts since the player's arrival in Chile on Sunday night have surpassed four million views.

"Together with our president, Aníbal Mosa, Vozinha signed his contract and officially became a new Colo Colo player. Welcome to the Colo Colo family!" the club wrote.
The African goalkeeper passed his medical exams early in the morning, dressed in the team's kit for the first time, and arrived at the Monumental in the afternoon to sign the agreement.

The contract is for six months, with the possibility of a twelve-month extension until 2027, for which he will receive 30 thousand dollars per month, according to the Chilean press, after arriving as a free agent upon the conclusion of his contract with Chaves in Portugal's second division.
The 40-year-old footballer will attend his first training session with the rest of the squad this Tuesday morning, and his press conference presentation will take place at noon.
The club is making preparations to give the player a welcome on Wednesday night in front of the fans at their stadium, which has a capacity of 42,000, similar to what happened with idol Arturo Vidal upon his return to Chilean soccer in 2024.
Although the date of his debut has not been officially defined, it is speculated that it will happen when the 'albos' play at home again on August 16 against O’Higgins, for the 19th round, before the superclásico of Chilean soccer against Universidad de Chile.
What has been established is that he will carry the name 'Vozinha' on his jersey, after being approved by the National Association of Professional Football of Chile (ANFP), whose tournament regulations prohibit the use of nicknames.
The reception for 'Vozinha' in Santiago has been that of a global star, after becoming a point of global interest by gaining nearly 30 million new followers on Instagram, due to his outstanding saves against Spain and Argentina in the World Cup with debutants Cape Verde.
The goalkeeper ended up being included in the ideal XI of the World Cup revealed by FIFA based on fan votes.
Colo Colo, the team with the most local titles and the only Chilean champion of the Copa Libertadores (1991), is the biggest club the Cape Verdean has signed with, having previously played for Progresso do Sambizanga (Angola), Zimbru (Moldova), Gil Vicente (Portugal), AEL Limassol (Cyprus), and AS Trencin (Slovakia).
The 'albos,' currently leaders of the Chilean league with a 12-point advantage, are coming off a disappointing 2025 in the year of their centenary, in which they did not qualify for international tournaments, and the arrival of a media figure like 'Vozinha' has put them on the global map. EFE
