The Mexican Baseball League (LMB) suspended Venezuelan player Danry Vásquez, of the Toros de Tijuana, immediately and for an indefinite period after he was involved in a violent fight during the game against the Acereros de Monclova, held on Sunday, August 2.
The sanction came after the outfielder assaulted third baseman Rodolfo Amador during a play, which triggered a brawl between both teams.

In the video circulating on social media, it is observed that the altercation began during a play and quickly escalated to involve players from both teams, who left the benches to participate in the brawl.
The images show that Danry Vásquez hit Rodolfo Amador, third baseman for the Acereros de Monclova, in the face when he was trying to put him out during the play. Even when Amador was already on the ground, the Venezuelan kicked him several times.
Subsequently, players and coaching staff members intervened to separate those involved.
The fight left one player injured: Ryan Hernández, first baseman for the Acereros de Monclova, suffered a fractured right arm and left the stadium by ambulance.

Through a statement, the Mexican Baseball League reported that Danry Vásquez was suspended immediately and indefinitely.
The League also condemned the assault and pointed out that this type of behavior is incompatible with the values of the sport.
"The LMB Banorte condemns this type of aggression and any kind of violence, which are not compatible with the League's values of fair play and respect for the opponent, and which jeopardize the physical integrity and the career of a fellow professional."
Likewise, it reported that it continues to analyze the conduct of the rest of the players involved to determine possible sanctions in accordance with the current Sanction Regulations.
"The LMB Banorte is analyzing the unsportsmanlike conduct of the rest of the players involved in this brawl to proceed based on the current Sanction Regulations."
¿Quién es Danry Vásquez?
Danry Vásquez was born on January 8, 1994, in Venezuela. He is a professional baseball player who currently plays as an outfielder for the Cardenales de Lara in the Venezuelan league and for the Toros de Tijuana in the Mexican Baseball League.
Prior to his suspension in the LMB, the Venezuelan player had already been involved in other controversies outside the baseball field.
¿Qué antecedentes tiene Danry Vásquez?
In 2016, he was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence against his then-partner, an incident for which he was suspended by the Houston Astros.
Subsequently, the case was dismissed and the player complied with the conditions established in the corresponding agreement, according to El Nacional.
However, in 2018, the Corpus Christi District Attorney's Office in Texas released the video in which he appeared assaulting his girlfriend. After it went viral, he was fired from the Lancaster Barnstormers, a team in the Atlantic League.
