The Mexican Baseball League (LMB) suspended Venezuelan player Danry Vásquez, of the Toros de Tijuana, immediately and for an indefinite period after he was involved in a violent fight during the game against the Acereros de Monclova, held on Sunday, August 2.

The sanction came after the outfielder assaulted third baseman Rodolfo Amador during a play, which triggered a brawl between both teams.

The images show that Danry Vásquez hit Rodolfo Amador, third baseman for the Acereros de Monclova, in the face when he was trying to put him out during the play. Even when Amador was already on the ground, the Venezuelan kicked him several times.

Subsequently, players and coaching staff members intervened to separate those involved.

The fight left one player injured: Ryan Hernández, first baseman for the Acereros de Monclova, suffered a fractured right arm and left the stadium by ambulance.

"The LMB Banorte condemns this type of aggression and any kind of violence, which are not compatible with the League's values of fair play and respect for the opponent, and which jeopardize the physical integrity and the career of a fellow professional."
