spoke for the first time about his separation from model and influencer Sarah Kohan, which was surrounded by controversy due to allegations of infidelity and doubts about the player's paternity.

In his recent appearance on the podcast Learning to be Human, the soccer star from Jalisco detailed the reasons that led to their separation in 2020 and subsequent divorce in 2021, just one year after getting married and starting a family with two children, Noah and Nala.

Was there infidelity? What did Hernández say? Below, we share all the details of his interview and never-before-heard revelations regarding his marriage and the controversies surrounding it.

Nearly five years after their breakup, the soccer player stated that both were responsible for the relationship ending. During the conversation with Eleni Fafutis, Chicharito confessed that both he and Sarah were going through a moment of strong emotional imbalance when they decided to separate.

"I think we both weren't in our center, we weren't balanced. I was going through a lot of personal things and I think she was too. No one knows how to be a mother or how to be a father (...)," he shared.

He added that the decision to separate was made primarily for their children and the example they would give them by being in a happy and peaceful environment: "We both believed the most important thing was for each of us to go our own way, live our own lives, to give our children the best example of how to be happy."

In addition to this, Hernández offered a self-critique regarding the role he played as a husband and father during his marriage. According to him, he had a mistaken idea about what it meant to build a family and admitted that the reality was very different from what he had imagined.

"I wasn't being masculine enough to hold that family together, and I think she also failed to be much more feminine," he stated, making it clear that this is his personal perception of what happened and emphasizing that, in his case, the responsibility for the divorce was shared.

Chicharito also ruled out that fame or media pressure were the main causes of the breakup with the Australian model. Instead, he explained that the divorce forced him to look inward and rethink his priorities. Becoming a father, he said, was the catalyst for assuming much greater responsibility and beginning a process of personal growth that transformed his way of understanding romantic relationships and family life.

"It wasn't just the divorce itself, I am a father now and I have a responsibility at least until they are 18, a responsibility that I will not morally flee from. In a way, it made me more retrospective, more responsible. I found many answers and that was what helped me rearrange my life," he pointed out.

The player did not mention the controversy they faced toward the end of their relationship, in which it was claimed that Sarah Kohan had cheated on him with Diego Dreyfus and that, in fact, it was alleged that their eldest son was the result of the supposed infidelity.

At the time, the model had to put an end to rumors about the crisis in her marriage and Dreyfus's role in the story. The social media wrote on Instagram: "I would like to say that I have never been with another person physically or emotionally since I met Javier. Please stop insinuating that I have. That is not the person I am. Please respect my privacy and that of my family."

It is worth remembering that at the time, it was speculated that Noah was not Javier's son, but rather the son of life coach Diego Dreyfus; these rumors intensified due to the physical comparisons between both figures and the child.
