Mexican authorities have arrested Iván Martín 'N', identified as the alleged co-author of the femicide of content creator , who was murdered in May 2025 while performing a live stream from her beauty salon in Zapopan, Jalisco, in the western part of the country.

The Jalisco State Prosecutor's Office reported this Sunday that it obtained an arrest warrant against the suspect and a search warrant for a property in the San Juan de Ocotán neighborhood, in Zapopan, as part of the investigations to clarify the crime.

Iván Martín ‘N’ was captured on Saturday, August 1, during an operation by the Deputy Prosecutor's Office for Specialized Investigation in Attention to Women, Girls, Boys and Adolescents, Gender-Based Reason and the Family, in coordination with the Mexican Army and the National Guard.

According to the investigation, the attack on the Mexican ‘influencer’ involved two vehicles: a motorcycle and a white car, used to assist in the escape of those involved, a route that authorities reconstructed using cameras from the C5 system and private video recordings.

“Iván Martín ‘N’ was apprehended due to his possible participation before, during, and after the attack that took the victim’s life,” the Prosecutor's Office detailed in its informative note.

During the search, carried out between Saturday night and Sunday morning, authorities located two firearms, one .40 caliber and one 9 millimeter, as well as cell phones and identification cards, evidence which has been incorporated into the investigation.

The capture comes days after the apprehension of Ramón Ángel Álvarez Ayala, alias ‘R1’, identified by federal authorities as the leader of ‘Los Rs’, a faction of the dedicated to drug trafficking, extortion, and arms trafficking in Jalisco and Michoacán.

Security Secretary Omar García Harfuch revealed after that arrest that the son of ‘R1’ had a romantic relationship with Márquez, had threatened her, and that the investigation points to him having asked his father to order the .

The official added that he remains at large and is wanted as the author of her femicide on May 13, 2025.

The downfall of ‘R1’ also allowed progress in the investigation into the assassination of former Uruapan mayor Carlos Manzo, which occurred on November 1, 2025, in which authorities attribute to Álvarez Ayala probable responsibility as the intellectual author.

The Jalisco Prosecutor's Office indicated that it will continue field and office work to fully clarify the femicide and arrest the other people allegedly involved.
