Mexican concerts in Las Vegas for Fiestas Patrias and El Grito 2026: who is singing and where

September is one of the most important months for the Mexican community in the United States. On the occasion of the Fiestas Patrias and the commemoration of Mexico's Independence, cities with a strong Latino presence such as Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Phoenix, and Houston are filled with concerts, festivals, and celebrations led by some of the most popular Mexican artists.

As happens every year, the weekend closest to September 15 and 16 concentrates much of the musical activity. The shows range from massive regional Mexican music concerts to performances of mariachi, banda, norteño, and Latin pop, aimed at both Mexican residents and visitors who travel specifically to celebrate the patriotic holidays.

Las Vegas is the main destination for celebrating the Grito de Independencia. The city has scheduled a series of special events throughout September, including cultural festivals, free shows, and concerts by recognized Mexican artists.

In addition to Las Vegas, the Los Angeles metropolitan area is home to one of the largest Mexican communities outside of Mexico, which is why every September it organizes numerous cultural and musical events related to the Fiestas Patrias.

Venues such as the Crypto.com Arena, Kia Forum, Toyota Arena, and the spaces in Pico Rivera often host performers of regional Mexican music, mariachi, and banda during these dates.

Chicago is another of the great centers of celebration. The Little Village neighborhood is recognized for hosting some of the largest celebrations of Mexico's Independence outside the national territory, accompanied by concerts, parades, and community festivals.

The city continues to be a regular stop for banda, norteño, and contemporary corrido groups. In addition to the patriotic festivals, various venues schedule special performances that attract thousands of attendees during the week of September 15 and 16.
