Disney Cruise Line announced its itineraries for fall 2027 and spring 2028, a season marked by the company's return to New York, increased departures from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and new opportunities to discover destinations in the Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, and Panama.
The cruise line, known for its family experiences on the high seas, also confirmed inaugural stops at strategic ports during some of its repositioning cruises.
Advance bookings for select Castaway Club members will open on August 31, 2026, while the general public will be able to book these itineraries starting September 8.
The long-awaited return of Disney to New York
For the first time since 2023, Disney Cruise Line will return to operate from New York City. The Disney Wish ship will arrive in the Big Apple in late September 2027, after completing its inaugural season in Europe.
From there, it will offer seven special cruises ranging from four to seven nights to various destinations. One of the main attractions will be Bermuda, whose famous pink sand beaches will be part of five itineraries. Additionally, three of these trips will include an extended stay so that passengers have more time to enjoy the archipelago's culture and landscapes.
The company will also resume routes to New England and the Canadian Atlantic coast. During the autumn, the Disney Wish will visit cities such as Boston, St. John, and Halifax, offering an ideal experience to admire the season's characteristic colors.
More departures from Puerto Rico and new destinations
Another major piece of news is the increase in cruises from San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Disney Wish will sail from New York to San Juan on a five-night trip with a stop in Bermuda, and will subsequently carry out a seven-night tour through the Southern Caribbean, visiting Aruba, St. Maarten, Bonaire, and Dominica.
For its part, the Disney Fantasy will expand its presence in Puerto Rico with several cruises during late 2027 and the spring of 2028. The itineraries will include destinations highly sought after by travelers, such as Curaçao, Bonaire, Barbados, and Antigua.
Historic stops in Panama
One of the most notable announcements is the incorporation of new stops in Panama on board the Disney Magic. In November 2027, the ship will carry out a 14-night cruise from San Diego to Galveston with an inaugural stop at Fuerte Amador, in Panama City.
Months later, in March 2028, the same vessel will undertake a 14-night journey from Galveston to San Diego, including a first visit to Colón, one of the main gateways to the Panama Canal from the Caribbean.
More magic from Florida
Starting in November 2027, three Wish-class ships will be based in Port Canaveral, Florida, facilitating vacations for those visiting Walt Disney World Resort.
Among them, the Disney Destiny stands out, which will have Port Canaveral as its home port for the first time and will offer three- to seven-night trips to the Bahamas and the Western Caribbean. The ship will feature experiences inspired by Disney heroes and villains.
The Disney Treasure will continue with seven-night cruises through the Eastern and Western Caribbean, while the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy will expand options for short and medium trips to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and even Bermuda.

Cruises to Mexico from California
Travelers interested in Mexico will also find new options. Both the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder will sail from San Diego with itineraries ranging from three to seven nights through Baja California and the Mexican Riviera.
The tours will include stops in popular destinations such as Ensenada and Cabo San Lucas, as well as visits to Catalina Island, off the coast of California.
Disney brings its magic to Southeast Asia
Meanwhile, the Disney Adventure will continue to operate from Singapore with new three- and four-night routes between September and December 2027.
In addition, some trips will incorporate a new stop in Langkawi, Malaysia, allowing passengers to explore its tropical jungles, beaches, and coastal landscapes, as well as enjoy Disney's characteristic onboard entertainment.
Halloween and Christmas on the high seas
The season will also be accompanied by two of the company's most popular themed events. The Halloween on the High Seas cruises will return in September 2027 with costumed characters, themed parties, and special activities for the whole family.
Subsequently, between November and December, the Very Merrytime cruises will return, transforming the ships with Christmas decorations, shows, tree lightings, special menus, and visits from Santa Claus, bringing the holiday spirit to the high seas.
