Mexican authorities arrested two men this Wednesday identified as the alleged perpetrators of the multiple homicide of Jonathan Meléndez, a member of the indie rock band Camilo Séptimo, his pregnant wife, their three-year-old daughter, and their domestic worker, whose bodies were found inside their residence in the municipality of Atizapán de Zaragoza, in the State of Mexico (Center).

The discovery of the victims was recorded in the early hours of Wednesday, after neighbors in the tower where the family resided alerted municipal police to screams and gunfire inside the apartment.
Upon entering the property, officers found Meléndez (38 years old), his wife Ana Paola (35 years old and several months pregnant), their daughter (three years old), and the domestic worker (21 years old) lifeless, all with gunshot wounds to the body. The family pet was also found dead.
At the scene, emergency services rescued a six-year-old child unharmed, who was found inside the home with no signs of physical violence.
The arrests of Diego Sebastián "N," identified as the artist's business partner and the alleged perpetrator of the crime, and Gerardo "N" were carried out following a coordinated operation between the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM), the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), and the Mexico City police.
Federal sources confirmed to EFE that the main line of investigation points to robbery as the motive for the crime, facilitated by the business relationship that united the parties; Diego Sebastián "N," identified as the business partner of the victim with the initials J.S.M.O., allegedly took advantage of their mutual trust to access the home with the family's consent before perpetrating the attack.

Jonathan Meléndez was the keyboardist and producer for the Mexican group Camilo Séptimo.
According to the Prosecutor's Office statement, the attackers allegedly entered the home, located on the outskirts of Mexico City, between 5:30 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday.
The two detainees were placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office to determine their legal status, while the state Prosecutor's Office processes the scene of the massacre to build the investigation file for the crime of qualified homicide.
