Hours after the mass murder in Zona Esmeralda, Atizapán, was made public, where Camilo Séptimo's keyboardist, Jonathan ‘Honas’ Meléndez, his pregnant wife, as well as his daughter, his domestic worker, and their pet were massacred, videos were revealed of the moment they found the only survivor: the musician's six-year-old son.
It is known that agents from the Secretariat of the Navy and the Atizapán police arrived at the musician's apartment after being called by the building's guards. Apparently, the security personnel knocked on the keyboardist's door around 9:30 p.m., and upon receiving a response from Diego ‘N’ stating that he could not open it, the authorities were called.

While they were breaking into the property, they found the minor in one of the rooms without visible physical injuries. Journalist Carlos Jiménez (C4 Jiménez), who shared the images, stated that the boy managed to save himself because he hid under the bed while the alleged perpetrator, Diego Sebastián ‘N’, was killing his family.
The minor was reportedly taken by the Victim Assistance Unit of the Atizapán Municipal Police after being located. According to reports, he was handed over to family members through the DIF in this instance.

So far, the State of Mexico Attorney General's Office has not made a statement regarding the six-year-old, his identity, or his location. Unofficial journalistic accounts suggest that the boy could be part of the investigation and could provide testimony on the matter to clarify the case.
In addition to details about the minor's location, information was released regarding the possible reasons for the mass murder. As the journalist cites, Diego ‘N’ took advantage of his closeness to the keyboardist and his family to enter and leave the building with ease; he also allegedly revealed to the Prosecutor's Office that he killed the family for millions in bitcoins and dollars.
“The guy who murdered the @camiloVIImx keyboardist first said he was going for a 300,000 [peso] loan. Now he claims he was going to demand dollars and 30 million in bitcoins, but things got out of hand and that's why he killed everyone,” details C4 Jiménez.
Investigations are ongoing, while the alleged culprit and his accomplice, Gerardo ‘N’, remain in the custody of the Prosecutor's Office.
Camilo Séptimo issues a statement on the murder of their keyboardist
The indie rock band shared a statement on social media to bid farewell to their keyboardist and founder and to mourn what happened: “With deep sorrow, we bid farewell to our dear brother Jonathan Samuel Meléndez Ochoa, Honas. We will always remember him with immense love and gratitude. Today we honor and celebrate his life, his music, his light, and what we shared with those of us fortunate enough to know him and walk the path with him.”
Furthermore, Camilo Séptimo offered their condolences and support to the victims' families, including that of Aleyda Romero, identified as the musician's family's domestic worker. Likewise, the Mexican group reached out to the Prosecutor's Office to demand justice.
