On Friday, August 7, 2026, the UNAM enabled the system to check appointments for the In-Person Control Exam, an assessment that must be taken by thousands of applicants to the 2026-2027/1 Bachelor's Degree Entrance Selection Contest.
The venue in Mexico City will be the Palacio de los Deportes, where the majority of the summoned applicants will gather: 53,568 people will attend to take the test on August 17, 18, and 19.
The information was released by the General Directorate of School Administration (DGAE), which indicated that summoned individuals can now log in to “YOUR SITE” (TU SITIO), within the Bachelor's Degree Entrance Selection Contest microsite, to check the details of their individual appointment.

In Mexico City, the In-Person Control Exam will be administered at the Palacio de los Deportes, located at:
Avenida Río Churubusco and Añil s/n, Granjas México neighborhood, Iztacalco borough.
The venue will receive 53,568 applicants over three days:
- Lunes 17 de agosto: aplicación del examen.
- Martes 18 de agosto: aplicación del examen.
- Miércoles 19 de agosto: aplicación del examen.
The exact date and time corresponding to each person must be checked in their individual appointment.

In the appointment, they will be able to check essential information for attending the exam, including:

The DGAE recommends reviewing the information in advance and arriving punctually at the assigned venue.
¿Cuándo será el examen de control presencial de la UNAM?
The In-Person Control Exam will be held between August 12 and August 19, 2026, at four venues across the country.

In total, the test involves 58,783 applicants distributed across the four venues.
¿Quiénes deben presentar el examen de control de la UNAM?
The in-person assessment is aimed at applicants summoned by the UNAM following an analysis of the results of the first online bachelor's degree entrance exam.
To determine who must take the new test, the University published a reference table called “minimum 2021-2026,” which shows the lowest number of correct answers with which it was possible to enter each degree program, campus, and modality in any of the admission processes between 2021 and 2026.
The criteria is not limited to those who initially obtained a spot in the 2026 admission process. It also includes applicants who were not selected, but whose number of correct answers was equal to or higher than the historical minimum corresponding to the career they applied for.
Therefore, those who were summoned must take the In-Person Control Exam so that the UNAM can verify their results.
¿Por qué la UNAM realizará un examen presencial de control?
The UNAM decided to administer this assessment after detecting atypical results in the remote admission exam.
Among the elements that caused concern was the increase in the number of applicants with particularly high scores. According to information released by the University, in previous processes about 3.5% of participants exceeded 100 correct answers, whereas in 2026 the proportion was higher than 16%.
Faced with the anomalies detected, the institution integrated a technical commission with specialists to analyze the results and established an in-person control assessment.
The administration of this exam does not imply that all summoned applicants have committed any irregularity. The test seeks to verify the results obtained previously and guarantee the certainty of the admission process.

Mexico City concentrates almost the entire volume of participants, with 53,568 people, who must go to the Palacio de los Deportes between August 17 and 19.
