The White House removed a Tetris-style game called "Build the Wall" from its website on Tuesday, four days after the company behind the classic video game warned that it takes copyright infringement very seriously.
The block-stacking game asked players to "protect the border from an approaching horde."
As of Tuesday, the game was no longer available at whitehouse.gov/arcade.
President Donald Trump campaigned on a promise to expel millions of undocumented migrants and has acted aggressively to carry out deportations.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from AFP regarding why the title was removed.
The Tetris Company told AFP on Friday that it had no involvement in the creation of the game.
"The Tetris Company was not involved in the creation of 'Build the Wall' and did not authorize or license the Tetris brand or its intellectual property for the game," it noted.
It added that it is "currently reviewing the matter" when asked if it was considering legal action.
"At Tetris, we believe in the power of connection and bringing people together, not dividing them," the company wrote on X.
The game, released Thursday on the White House website, sparked condemnation for its racist themes and questions about potential copyright infringement.
