The show 'South Park' has once again echoed U.S. President Donald Trump by announcing this Tuesday that it will change the program's name to 'SOUTH AMERICA,' in line with the president's efforts to change the names of seas, lakes, and even states.
"Inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are going to change the name of South Park to South America," announced creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone on X, regarding the premiere of the 29th season next Wednesday.
The creators avoided explaining if the change will be permanent or if it refers to the first episode of the new season, which will continue the parodies based on the American president.

At the end of August, Trump signed an executive order to change the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America, which borders the U.S. and Canada, in the middle of a trade war with the neighboring country over the imposition of tariffs.
Last Sunday, the president published on his Truth Social network a map of New Mexico with the name 'New America'.
Trump had previously renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.
This is the second allusion by 'South Park' to the American president in less than a week.
The series received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program on September 6, and to celebrate, they published an image of their animated version of Trump holding the award with the message: "You finally got your Emmy".
The 2025 season of South Park focused heavily on the U.S. President, portraying him as a villain who maintained a romantic relationship with Satan.
