US President Donald Trump offered his administration's "help" this Saturday for the "freedom" of Iran amid protests that have been ongoing for two weeks in the Persian country against economic management and have left at least 51 people dead.
"Iran is looking at freedom, perhaps like never before. The US is ready to help!", wrote the president on his social network Truth Social.
The American leader's support joined that of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, who said on Saturday that Europe "fully supports" the "Iranian women and men who are calling for freedom."
Furthermore, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted on his social media this morning that "The United States stands with the brave people of Iran," where protests against economic management have escalated to reach dozens of cities and question Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Trump did not offer further details on his actions for now, but has previously warned of a possible intervention in Iran regarding the violence exercised against protesters, as there are at least 51 dead since December 28, according to information released this Friday by the civil organization Iran Human Rights (IHRNGO), based in Oslo, Norway.
The Iranian Army, where telecommunications remain non-functional on the fourteenth day of protests, assured this Saturday that it will seriously confront any "plot" sponsored by the United States to incite instability and disrupt the security of the Islamic Republic.
