The actress stated that she was unaware of the controversy and asked if the criticism was for singing and dancing. The reporters replied that the attacks were directed at her physical appearance.
"Oh, how old is Aitana? She is at the worst age, they are really ugly at that age. Very ugly. I mean, they don't know if they are coming or going, so skinny or fat or pot-bellied. It is a very ugly age for kids. But if she sings well, how cool, and if she dances well, how cool."

During the same interview, Ruffo also spoke about Eugenio Derbez's relationship with his youngest daughter and stated that she was pleased to see him involved in her upbringing.
"I am indeed glad that he is attentive to his daughter. At the end of the day, he is getting old, but he has learned something, right? Because you have to be with your children. He is with his older children too, which is important, and with the little one, who also needs him."
